Often times, school-aged children become ready for lessons. Typically around the time of mastering reading skills (first or second grade), children will begin to also understand and 'de-code' the written musical language. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Kendra enjoys teaching children the joy of learning music and the piano.
Private piano instruction is offered weekly starting the end of August until May. However, students are welcome to start lessons throughout the lesson year. Students will learn technique, fundamentals, theory and songs that they will love to play. Lessons are customized for each student's learning style. A 30 minute lesson is typical for beginners, but later 45 or 60 minute lessons are offered. If you think your child might be ready or is expressing interest, please fill out the information below and you will be contacted directly to schedule a lesson time or to answer questions you may have.
30 minute lesson is $22 per week
45 minute lesson is $33 per week
60 minute lesson is $44 per week
Various payment options are available, which include: one payment for the lesson year*, two installment payments, or pay monthly installments by the first lesson of each month. Total due will be based on payment option chosen.
*A lesson year equates to the start date of initial lesson, to the last lesson offered in May.
Materials: Books, purchased by the teacher, typically include a Lesson Book, Recital/Supplementary Book, Technic and Theory Book. Average cost per book is around $7.
